Moldovan President Sandu discussed with Merkel the process of European integration of the republic

As Interfax informs with reference to the press service of the Moldovan President, during the telephone conversation "the European path of Moldova was discussed in the context of the upcoming meeting of the European Council, where the issue of granting Moldova the status of a candidate member of the EU will be decided."

Earlier it became known that the European Commission decided to recommend granting Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for joining the European Union.
