Mohammed bin Rashid announces the transformation of the Expo site into the "Dubai Expo City"

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced today that the site of the Expo 2020 Dubai will be transferred to "Expo City Dubai".

His Highness said in a tweet on his official account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “Brothers and sisters … after the historical success of Expo 2020 Dubai … which was visited by more than 24 million visitors … and which formed a mark in the history of Expo exhibitions over 170 years … today we announce the Transforming the exhibition site into a "Dubai Expo City"...a city that represents Dubai's most beautiful ambitions.

His Highness added: "Expo City Dubai will be an environmentally friendly city.. friendly to families.. friendly to technology.. friendly to the economy.. the city linked to a port and two airports and linked to the most beautiful memories for millions of people.. The magic of the Expo will continue.. Al Wasl Dome will remain.. Expo waterfalls will remain." The Emirates Pavilion, the Alf Pavilion and the Terra Pavilion will remain.”
