  In his opening remarks, Li Jiachao said that the 26 key officials appointed will form the governance team of the sixth-term SAR government.

They include 21 heads of the Political Accountability Division and five non-political accountability officials.

Among the 21 secretaries, 7 are current SAR government officials, 2 are current deputy directors promoted to directors, 6 are current or recently retired senior civil servants, and 6 are new members of the SAR government.

  Li Jiachao said that about 30% of the new SAR government personnel have rich professional knowledge, experience and status in their respective fields, or have relevant contact networks, and have recognition and execution capabilities.

Among the 26 members of the new team, 6 are women, accounting for about a quarter, the highest of any previous SAR government.
