“The Australian government's total military aid package is in excess of A$285 million.
Within its framework, Ukraine was provided with Bushmaster armored vehicles, M777 howitzers, anti-tank weapons, ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles and protective equipment for soldiers,” the head of the Defense Ministry said.
The supply of armored personnel carriers was associated with the request of the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov to transfer additional military vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that if the supply of weapons to the country by the West stops, Ukrainian servicemen are ready to confront Russia with shovels in their hands.
He called on countries to provide military assistance to Ukraine in the form of arms supplies, and to do so as soon as possible.
