Yemen..Houthi escalation on the fronts of Marib, Taiz and Al-Dhalea

The Houthi militia escalated its military operations on the various fighting fronts, and launched attacks of various types of weapons on the army and resistance positions, the most violent of which were concentrated on the fronts of Marib, Taiz, and the western coast.

Yemeni field sources stated that the militias launched at dawn today, large-scale military operations against the Harib district, south of Marib, and used heavy artillery and Katyusha rockets to bombard the forces' positions and populated areas in the liberated district, in a dangerous escalation indication that threatens the UN truce to collapse.

According to the sources, militia members stationed in the Al-Daraj, Al-Hajla and Semnan mountains in Aqabat Mala’a bombed residential areas in the Harib district with more than 11 missiles and a number of artillery shells. Noting that the operation was a full-fledged combat.

She explained, that the Yemeni forces thwarted the attempt that targeted their positions in Jabal "Al-Azihab" near the areas of "Rawdan Al-Had and the village of Al-Madmar" north of Harib, and were able to repel the attack and force the Houthis to retreat towards the "Athel Mountains" northeast of Aqabat Mala'a.

The Yemeni army had announced the killing of four soldiers and the wounding of five others as a result of the Houthi violations of the armistice, as it recorded more than 117 Houthi violations of the UN armistice during the past 24 hours.

The militias have escalated during the past two days on the sandy and mountainous Ma'rib fronts, where they launched violent attacks on army and resistance positions using heavy artillery and medium weapons, which prompted the army to respond to the sources of fire.

The media center of the Yemeni army stated that the militias launched a series of attacks on various combat fronts in Marib, using Katyusha rockets, artillery and various calibers, booby-trapped drones and snipers.

In Taiz, the city's eastern, northern, and northwestern fronts witnessed intense Houthi bombardment towards army and resistance positions, as part of their violations of the armistice, as well as their continued sending of reinforcements and fighters to various fronts.

The army had detected 55 violations on the fronts of the Taiz axis and the western axis of the governorate, while it detected 31 violations on the Hays axis, south of Hodeidah.

In Al-Dhalea, the joint and southern forces repelled Houthi attacks towards their positions in the northwestern combat sectors of the governorate, the most violent of which were concentrated in the Al-Jab axis.

Field sources said that they had monitored 376 Houthi violations of the armistice on the northern fronts within two weeks, resulting in civilian and military deaths and injuries.

The Yemeni army had announced its military readiness and combat readiness on various combat fronts, against the backdrop of the escalation of Houthi violations of the armistice and the intensification of its bombing of various types of weapons, including drones, on its positions.

The army command called on the forces of the Al-Jawf axis, to raise combat readiness and declare a state of maximum alert throughout the theater of military operations, in preparation for a decisive battle against the militias that did not abide by the armistice.

The US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, described the truce in Yemen as fragile, and the same was launched by the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, but he considered it at the same time "steadfast."

For its part, the Yemeni government called on the international community to take a clear and explicit stance towards the continued use of the truce by the terrorist Houthi militia to recruit children.

The Yemeni Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, stated that the Houthi militia continues to recruit children under the cover of what it calls "summer centers" in preparation for their involvement in various fighting fronts under the UN truce, and in response to the efforts to calm down, end the war and establish peace.

In Sanaa, the militias blew up the house of Awad al-Khabani, one of the leaders of the national resistance, while the Houthi leader called "Abu Fadl", one of the largest Houthi leaders in the Bani Hashish district, was shot dead by Houthi gunmen north of Sanaa.
