The suspense lasted until the end of the evening.

The friend of the presidential couple and regional councilor Sabrina Agresti-Roubache was elected this Sunday deputy for the first constituency of Marseille, after a very tight ballot against the National Rally.

Only 539 votes difference separates the candidate of the presidential majority from her opponent Monique Grisetti.

Two other LREM deputies from Marseille will sit alongside him, according to the first estimates of the Ministry of the Interior: the outgoing Claire Pitollat, elected in the second constituency, and Lionel Royer-Perreaut, elected in the sixth constituency.

On the other hand, the outgoing Marseille LREM MP Cathy Racon-Bouzon lost her seat in the fifth constituency against the Nupes candidate Hendrik Davi.
