No big surprise.

Sarah El Haïry, the former Secretary of State for Youth and spokesperson for the Modem, notably at the origin of the universal national service, was elected for a second term in the fifth constituency of Loire-Atlantique (Carquefou, Nort -sur-Erdre).

The one who represents the presidential party (Together!) beat Sabine Lalande (Nupes) quite quietly with 54.54% of the vote.

In the first round, the 33-year-old young woman had won the score of 37.45% of the votes.

A two-year stint in government

Sarah El Haïry will therefore begin a second term in the National Assembly.

Five years ago, in the same constituency, she brought down Michel Ménard (Socialist Party), current president of the Departmental Council, winning with 61.02% of the vote.

During his time in government, which lasted nearly two years (from July 2020 to May 2022), it was his deputy Luc Geismar who sat in his place in the National Assembly.
