In Haute-Garonne, PS deputy Joël Aviragnet re-elected against the RN

It was the socialist president of the Occitanie region, Carole Delga, who was leading his campaign.

Joël Aviragnet, the only outgoing deputy from the left of Haute-Garonne, was re-elected with 60.39% of the votes during this second round of legislative elections.

This member of the PS, invested by the Nupes, despite some turmoil, largely beat the candidate of the National Rally, Loic Delchard.

He certainly benefited from the carryover of votes from the voters of the ecologist Annabelle Fauvernier, who also intended to carry the proposals of the Nupes... who finally invested Joël Aviragnet.

On the sidelines, he also had to capture votes from the voters of the candidate Together!, Céline Laurenties-Barrere, his party having called to vote for left-wing candidates in the second round when a left-wing candidate was facing the RN.
