“The Parliament banned the import and distribution of books and other publishing products from Russia, the territories of Ukraine and Belarus temporarily occupied by it,” Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said in his Telegram.

The corresponding decision was supported by 306 parliamentarians.

As previously reported, the bill contains a clause banning the import and distribution of books "whose authors are or were, at any time after 1991, citizens of the aggressor state."

Before that, Deputy Minister of Education of Ukraine Andriy Vitrenko announced that Leo Tolstoy's novel "War and Peace" would be removed from the school curriculum.
