The Ethics Judge of the Democratic Party of Korea will deliberate on whether and how much to discipline Rep. Choi Kang-wook, who has been controversial for 'sexual harassment remarks'.

The Democratic Ethics Judge will hold a meeting at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 20th and begin deliberation on disciplinary action against Rep. Choi Kang-wook.

On the 2nd of last month, Rep. Choi became controversial because it was known that he made sexually harassing remarks towards his fellow lawmaker in an online meeting with Democratic lawmakers belonging to the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee.

Regarding this, Rep. Choi's representative said, "It is true that the member was joking when he couldn't see him," but said, "Is it like young students are doing it like they're doing it?" claimed.

However, the Democratic Party Advisory Committee said, "I have confirmed sexual harassment remarks that are embarrassing to post publicly."

In addition to the remarks, it is also known that Rep. Choi is also being suspected of secondary assaults, such as trying to find an employee who informed the outsiders of the incident after the incident.

If the Ethics Judge admits the alleged misconduct and decides to take disciplinary action, it will be submitted to the Emergency Response Committee as an agenda item.

Disciplinary measures range from warning to suspension of party membership, suspension of party membership, and expulsion.

Woo Sang-ho, chairman of the Democratic Party's emergency countermeasures committee, said at a press conference yesterday (19th) that "a meeting of the Ethics Judges of the Party has been convened."
