The ministry explained to "Emirates Today" that the decisions issued by the state and its official bodies locally and federally, or issued by the ministry, had a significant impact in providing an attractive investment environment for the health sector in particular, which was positively reflected on the increase in investment in the health sector.

And she added that one of the most prominent measures it has implemented is to facilitate and expedite the procedures for obtaining commercial licenses and licenses to practice professions, as their issuance does not exceed 48 hours from the date of completing the necessary documents.

She stressed that the private sector is a strategic partner in supporting the health sector in the country and providing high-quality medical services, as there are a series of private hospitals and medical centers that provide specialized health services using the latest medical equipment and devices.

She stated that the percentage of hospitals in the country obtaining international accreditation is 91.27%.

She said that standardizing licensing standards at the state level contributed to attracting qualified and experienced medical personnel, and providing services according to the highest international standards, which led to an increase in demand for health services within the country, and a reduction in travel for treatment abroad.

The decisions regarding the mandatory health insurance for all segments of society also led to an increase in the demand for health services, especially in light of the high level of per capita income in the country.

The ministry added that it has updated the laws that facilitate its procedures and maintain the highest standards of quality of health services.

It also issued new laws regulating more innovative health practices and services, creating new horizons for health investment.
