Former US President Donald Trump once again attacked former Vice President Mike Pence, saying he was nothing more than a 'human conveyor belt'.

"Mike Pence had an opportunity to do something great and historic," Trump said in a speech at a Republican-led event in Tennessee on the 17th local time, according to The Hill. ' he criticized.

"Pence made no choice other than a human conveyor belt," Trump said, adding that "he didn't do anything even though the election was a scam."

Former Vice President Pence presided over the certification process as ex officio chairman at a joint meeting of the House and Senate to certify the election of President Joe Biden on January 6 last year.

Trump refused to admit defeat, saying the November 2020 election was a fraudulent election and pressured former Vice President Pence not to certify the election, but Pence did not accept it.

January 6, last year, was also the day of riots when Trump supporters broke into Congress to block Biden's certification of election.

The US House of Representatives has since formed a special committee to investigate the 1/6 riot led by the Democratic Party, and has been conducting public hearings focusing on former President Trump's incitement to riots from this month.

At the hearing on the 16th, there were testimonies that former President Trump pressured former President Pence from all directions to overturn the election results, and Trump's speech remarks can be viewed as a rebuttal to this.

Former Vice President Pence has stated that his certification of election is a formal process and that he has no authority to stop it.

Former President Trump also said in his speech that if he wins the next presidential election, he will very seriously consider his pardon for those charged with participating in the 1/6 riots.

When Senator Lindsey Graham, a close aide to the former president, pointed out that Trump's pardon was inappropriate in a speech that followed, Trump even called Graham "Reno," which means sham Republican.

While former President Trump is not hiding his intention to run for president again in 2024, the prevailing view is that former Vice President Pence is also preparing to run for the presidency.

He means that those who have served as president and vice president could face off in the Republican primary.
