Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan returns to the cinema after an absence of more than 3 years, through his new movie "Number 1", which is about to finish filming. The Eagle of Upper Egypt, through which Ramadan achieved great success.

In the new movie, Ramadan returns to the popular and commercial color that he was famous for in his works, through which revenues have been issued for years;

Including "Abdo Mota", "Al-Almani", "Qalb al-Assad" and "Shadd Parts", which made him then call himself "Number 1" in a song he presented a few years ago, and the song itself was the beginning of his professionalism to sing and then he achieved great success in his songs. Which he puts on his YouTube channel and at his concerts.

The lyrical success of Muhammad Ramadan came in line with the decline in his shares in acting, according to what was reflected in the proportions of his views and the crises that encountered his work in drama and his complete absence from cinema since 2019.

Retreat or busy?

10 years ago, Muhammad Ramadan was able to become the first star of revenue with his works as a poor popular hero who is subjected to injustice all the time, but he eventually wins in films such as “Abdo Mota”, “Al-Almani” and “Qalb al-Assad”.

Although critics accused him of presenting scenes of violence and bullying, he achieved great popularity and unparalleled success. In the drama, he presented Ibn Halal, Prince, Al Ostoura and other works with a viewership rate that made him number "1" over several seasons.

Ramadan achieved in its beginnings with his movie “Abdo Mota” 22.5 million Egyptian pounds, and the film was shown in 2012. As for the Lion’s Heart, despite the curfew decisions at the time, the film that was shown in 2013 achieved 17 million pounds, to take the throne at that time in revenue, and in 2015 achieved his movie “Shadow Parts” 22 million pounds, and “diesel” surpassed it a year later, with a harvest of 23 million (a dollar equals 18.74 Egyptian pounds).

The revenues of Ramadan films declined after that, to become third in the movie "Diesel" in 2018, which achieved only 14 million, and a year earlier, his movie "The Last Cock in Egypt" had achieved only 9 million.

Ramadan then gave up the absolute championship and decided to participate in the movie “The Treasure” in its first and second parts to present a work with the great director Sherif Arafa, and despite the film achieving 19 million, it was criticized because of the script written by Abdel Rahim Kamal, so that the second part achieved only Only 6 million pounds, which is the last cinematic appearance of Ramadan, before he was absent for nearly 3 years.

artistic pigment

Ramadan decided to focus on drama after the cinematic decline, especially since his dramatic score achieved high levels of viewership in works such as “Esser Upper Egypt”, “Al Ostoura” and “Al Prince”.

Ramadan decided to present “The Epic of Musa” with author Nasser Abdel Rahman and director Mohamed Salama, a work that was praised for its filming and directing, but the script came to reduce the quality of the work and frustrate Ramadan’s plan to present a work of an artistic color.

And this year, Ramadan decided once again to bet on his participation with the great director Muhammad Yassin in the series “Al Mishwar”, but the problems that faced the work, including the incomplete script before filming, caused the slowness of filming, in addition to problems in the montage that were reflected in the work level.

singing competition

Ramadan combined two crises: the first in the cinema and the second in drama, so he had no choice but to present a work of artistic value, which is the adventure that did not succeed, but he also sought to compete in the singing market after achieving his songs with the highest views on YouTube and receiving a high wage in his concerts, In the past three years, Ramadan has been busy preparing for more than one song a year and presenting different "duets", such as the duet that Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred put together in "Insai", and a duet with Mitri James in "Habibi".

The return of "No. 1"

In his new movie, Muhammad Ramadan is betting on recalling his success story and features through the image of the simple folk hero who faces challenges from zero to the top, so he started shooting his movie “Number 1” immediately after Ramadan, whose story also tells a journey of struggle and ascent and how he managed to become a number. 1", which he succeeded in during his brilliance in acting.

Ramadan decided to include in the film some songs in order to bet that it would return to the fore again, especially since the film is supposed to be shown during the Eid al-Adha film season, in which a number of stars compete, most notably Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Tamer Hosni and Mohamed Adel Imam.
