Toulouse residents, don't try to escape the heat wave by taking a dip in the Lac de la Ramée.

Precisely, because of the high temperatures, samples taken this Friday on the body of water revealed pollution with cyanobacteria.

It makes the lake unsuitable for swimming and other water activities.

At the request of the regional health agency and in accordance with the regulations, the town hall of Toulouse has just issued an order to this effect.

She even reminds owners to keep their dogs on a leash "so they can't access the lake and swallow toxins."

New samples must be taken on Monday to find out if beachgoers can return.
