Twenty people will be heard by the criminal court of Créteil (Val-de-Marne) for six days from this Friday.

They are suspected of having maintained for several years Caliweed, the largest narcotics network in the South of the Ile-de-France region, which was notably based in Villejuif, reports

Unprecedented marketing

This network, specializing in the sale of cannabis resin and high quality grass, had the particularity of offering their products directly via Snapchat through particularly elaborate marketing.

Once ordered, the narcotics could then be picked up at the Gabriel-Thibault stadium in Villejuif or delivered to the customer for orders with a minimum amount.

Known throughout Ile-de-France thanks to a clip by Mister You, the network ended up being dismantled on June 11, 2019 after an extensive police investigation that required significant resources.

A total of 16 people were arrested that day.

During the searches, 105,000 euros, 600 g of resin, 4 kg of grass and 1,700 filled boxes were seized, as well as several weapons.

The twenty defendants now face up to ten years in prison.
