“Irresponsible people fantasies”: how Kyiv intends to “return” Crimea with the help of American weapons

Ukraine will "reclaim" its territories, including Crimea, with the help of weapons received from the United States.

This was stated by the head of the country's Ministry of Defense Alexei Reznikov.

He added that the peninsula represents a "strategic goal" for the Kyiv regime.

“We will liberate all our territories, absolutely everything, including Crimea.

Crimea is a strategic goal for Ukraine because it is Ukrainian territory.

But we will move gradually, ”Reznikov said in an interview with CNN.

According to him, the first step in the actions of the forces of the Kyiv regime will be to stabilize the situation on the battlefield in order to prevent further losses in clashes with Russian forces.

The second stage, according to Reznikov, should be the displacement of the Russian forces to the positions they occupied before February 24, says Reznikov.

And only at the third stage, according to him, Kyiv will discuss with its partners "how to liberate territories, including Crimea."

At the same time, Reznikov said that Kyiv does not take into account a possible reaction from Russia to a potential attempt to seize Crimea by military means.

"It does not matter.

At the same time, the channel recalls that Ukrainian officials have stated that they will not strike at Russian territory with the help of American weapons.

"Goal number one"

This is not the first such statement from Ukrainian officials that the weapons received from the West will be used to strike at Crimea, which official Kyiv does not recognize as part of the Russian Federation.

So, earlier, Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko called the Crimean Bridge a priority target for a possible attack.

“For the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kerch Bridge is the number one goal.

This is not a secret either for their military or for our military.

Neither for their civilians, nor for our civilians.

This will be the number one target to defeat,” the Ukrainian general said.

According to him, the bridge to the peninsula is a route for the movement of Russian reserves, which must be cut off.

Commenting on these statements, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that the security of Crimea is guaranteed by the measures taken by the Russian military.

“The security of Crimea is guaranteed by those preventive measures and those additional measures that are now being taken by our military... As for the mention of our bridge - the Crimean Bridge - by the Ukrainian military and politicians, this is far from the first time.

We are well aware of this, of course, we are aware of such threats and take them into account," Peskov said.

In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that such plans of the Ukrainian side are taken into account.

We have a responsible army.

All these threats are taken into account.

There is no smoke without fire.

I am convinced that all these plans will fail completely, ”the minister emphasized in an interview with NTV.

At the same time, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued a message stating that the Ukrainian side allegedly received detailed technical documentation of the Crimean bridge.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised that Kyiv would not use weapons received from the United States to attack Russian territory and did not plan to attack Russia.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces repeatedly fired at the regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine, including the Belgorod region.

In turn, Moscow said that the Russian side had no reason to trust any of Zelensky's promises.

American bounty

It is worth noting that Washington and its European allies continue to actively supply Kyiv with weapons and military equipment.

So, in early June, the United States announced the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Kyiv totaling $ 700 million. Based on promises not to strike at Russian territory, the United States decided to transfer HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) to the Ukrainian side.

At the same time, American leader Joe Biden announced the allocation of a new $ 1 billion military aid package to Kyiv in a few weeks.

Later, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, specified that this tranche would include two launchers for Harpoon anti-ship missiles, GMLRS guided missiles, 18 M777 howitzers, 36 thousand 155 mm shells and several thousand secure radio intercoms.

“When you’re in combat, there aren’t always enough weapons—and they never come fast enough.

But (with that said) we will put in a lot of effort to ensure that we do our best.

We will continue to use every means to provide them with the capabilities they need,” Austin said at a June 15 press conference.

"There is no real threat"

Meanwhile, as analysts note, the statements of the Kyiv authorities about their intention to “return” Crimea or other territories, despite the massive pumping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Western weapons, do not reflect the real situation on the battlefield.

“These are just dreams that cannot have any real embodiment.

Even from what is happening now in the Kherson region, in Donetsk and Lugansk, it is clear that there can be no return to the former borders of Ukraine, ”Dmitry Litovkin, editor of the Nezavisimoe Voennoye Obozreniye newspaper, emphasized in a RT commentary.

At the same time, the expert called Kyiv's statements about its non-intention to use weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation “talking for a Western layman”.

“Given the constant shelling of Ukraine in the Russian regions bordering it, it is not necessary to think that the nationalists will be humane and decent,” the analyst says.

As military observer Oleksandr Khrolenko emphasized, Ukrainian officials are becoming more belligerent as UAF casualties at the front rise.

“In fact, this does not even look like bragging, but like empty, unfounded fantasies of irresponsible people.

At the same time, from his point of view, despite the impressive figures in dollars, the volume of American equipment supplied to Ukraine is very modest.

“Based on specific figures, neither MLRS in the amount of 12 pieces, nor a new batch of 18 M777 howitzers, nor two Harpoon launchers absolutely do the weather.

This is just an appearance, a hoax, money laundering and further implementation of the “war to the last Ukrainian” project, in which, apparently, not for free, the current Minister of Defense of Ukraine also participates, ”the political scientist explained.

In addition, in his opinion (if the United States or Great Britain suddenly did not secretly supply the Kyiv regime with special long-range missiles for their MLRS), it would not be possible to strike at the Crimea from these complexes.

“Of course, Ukraine would like such a danger to hang over Crimea, but in fact there is no real threat of this kind,” the analyst concluded.
