A suspect on parole

On June 4, one of them tried to scam an 89-year-old woman in Lagny-sur-Marne.

He would have claimed to be a delivery man and would have asked him for his bank card and his secret code to pay 50 cents of costs.

After refusing, the octogenarian would have been abused before being deprived of his card.

The Chessy police officers in charge of the investigation also noted two similar attempts nearby on the same day.

Two other thefts, without violence, were also allegedly committed by the duo in Fontenay-Tresigny and Coulommiers.

Thanks to information from the gendarmes of Coulommiers, the police of Chessy finally identified the vehicle used.

The fake delivery man, already sentenced by the courts, is on semi-freedom.

The two suspects admitted the facts in police custody but one of them denied the violence.

From his cell, he allegedly defrauded dozens of elderly people
