Of these, the largest number of people fleeing abroad are 6.8 million from Middle East Syria, where the civil war continues, 4.6 million from Venezuela, South America, where political turmoil continues, and the Islamist Taliban took power last year. There are 2.7 million people from Afghanistan.



In addition, UNHCR estimates that the number of refugees and refugees in the world has exceeded 100 million, including those who fled Ukraine in the military invasion by Russia that began in February.
