He expressed the hope that, in addition to politicians who irresponsibly demand to supply Ukraine with everything they want, “there are still military people who understand what is at stake” and are aware of the risks associated with this.

Lavrov cited the example of a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is asking for long-range weapons to be transferred to Kyiv, arguing that he will not attack targets on Russian territory.

“Does he consider Crimea a territory of Russia?

Does he consider Donbass to be the territory of the DPR and LPR?”

the minister noted.

Lavrov added that “already one of the talking heads” of Zelensky made a threat about the Crimean bridge.

The head of the Foreign Ministry noted that Russia has a responsible army and "all these threats are taken into account," since "there is no smoke without fire."

“And I am convinced that all these plans will fail completely,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko called the Crimean bridge the number one target for destruction by Western weapons.

The Kremlin stressed that the security of Crimea is guaranteed by preventive and additional measures taken by the Russian military.
