The painting could have been touching.

Very early on Wednesday morning, at the Esquirol metro station in Toulouse, police officers specializing in public transport spotted two really very attentive young girls with a 75-year-old user cluttered with a suitcase.

They carried her luggage and even offered to take the metro with her so she wouldn't get lost on the way to the station.

The officials remained under observation until what they suspected happened: one of the two helpful attendants slipped her hand into the granny's purse and grabbed her wallet. .

Cheating on age

As one policeman caught up with the robbers, another broke the news to the astonished victim.

The youngest of the suspects, aged 12, was returned to her home.

The oldest claimed to be 13, but she is known and is in fact 18. She was referred to the prosecution on Thursday morning for an immediate appearance before the criminal court.
