Private schools in Sharjah and Ajman that follow the ministerial curriculum are preparing to organize compensatory exams for students who are absent from the final exam for the third semester with an acceptable excuse, starting from next Monday, June 20, until the 24th of the same month.

The Sharjah Private Education Authority confirmed to "Emirates Today" that schools that follow the ministerial curriculum will apply the dates set by the Emirates Foundation for School Education with regard to remedial exams, while schools that follow international curricula set the dates for the exams as they see fit.

School administrations informed their students that compensatory exams for absentees are scheduled to be held between June 20 and 24, and target students who are absent with an acceptable excuse for the end of the third semester exam, or students who encountered technical problems during the exam, or those infected with the Corona virus.

The directors of private schools in Sharjah and Ajman told "Emirates Today" that they are committed to the dates set by the Emirates Foundation for School Education for the compensatory exams, noting that they are waiting to receive the examination schedule from the institution in the coming days.

School directors explained that the compensatory exams include students who are sick with “Corona” and who are absent with an excuse, provided that they submit an approved health certificate proving their condition, or students who encountered problems in the electronic system during the exam, where their names are sent to the institution to be counted and included in the compensatory exams schedule.

They pointed out that the exams will be applied to all students of grades 5-12 electronically and in attendance to the school, with the need for all students to bring their computers to school during the exam period, while the third and fourth students take them both in paper and in attendance at the school.

And the Emirates Foundation for School Education confirmed, in the guide to preparing for the tests of the third and final semester of the current year, that the numbers of students who missed the test are counted, through a dedicated link, which the Foundation will send to schools soon, and the last day set for this limitation is June 17th.
