According to Nebenzya, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hypocritically claims that Kyiv is not interested in shelling civilians, but the facts refute his claims.

The diplomat said that the trajectories of the missiles indicate that they were fired from territories under the control of the Kyiv regime from the types of weapons that were transferred to Kyiv by Western sponsors.

“The latest shelling of Donetsk is another terrible crime committed by the agonizing Kyiv regime,” he said at a briefing on the sidelines of the UN.

According to him, Kyiv's "Western sponsors" are "equally responsible for these heinous crimes."

Nebenzia explained that physical evidence shows that civilians in Donetsk were killed as a result of the use of 155mm artillery ammunition.

These munitions were provided to Kyiv by NATO countries, including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, France and others, the diplomat said.

“I would like to say to Western countries that provide weapons to Ukraine: the blood of civilians is on your hands,” he said.

Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said during a visit to Brussels that more than 45 countries have provided security assistance to Kyiv since February 24.

Austin also spoke out against the weakening of the supply of weapons to Kyiv, saying that "the stakes are too high."
