China Overseas Chinese Network, June 15. According to the "European Times" Italian version of the WeChat public account "Italian Cuisine", on the afternoon of June 13 local time, a Chinese restaurant near Rome Central Station (Termini) suddenly caught fire.

The restaurant chef was rushed to the hospital for inhaling smoke.

  The report quoted local media sources that at around 18:00 on the 13th, the Roman gendarmerie received a large number of calls from citizens, saying that a fire broke out in a Chinese restaurant and thick smoke was billowing.

According to reports, the fire originated in the kitchen of the restaurant, and the thick smoke then spread into the corridor of the building where the restaurant is located and the nearby blocks, which once caused panic among the surrounding residents and passers-by.

  After receiving the alarm, the fire brigade rushed to the scene as soon as possible and extinguished the flames.

A 56-year-old Bangladeshi chef at the restaurant was sent to the hospital with a red emergency code after inhaling an excessive amount of smoke.

  The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
