A teacher from a high school in Reims (Marne) was arrested on Tuesday, June 7, then indicted for "corruption of minors", "sexual assault on a minor" and "possession of child pornography images".
He is, among other things, suspected of having tried to seduce students, in particular by sending messages and photos of a sexual nature.
According to Matthieu Bourrette, public prosecutor of Reims, the defendant, aged 35 to 40, "seems to have implemented real strategies of influence, seduction and manipulation of these minors".
He was also the subject of a report from the school "less than a month ago", according to the prosecutor.
Judicial review
Only one victim would be concerned by the facts of sexual assault for touching.
“He recognizes an inappropriate gesture, but not all of what the victim says”, specifies Matthieu Bourrette.
As for the child pornography images, they would have been found in small quantities among legal pornographic photos.
The investigations are continuing with a view to "verifying whether other victims exist, to identify the facts more generally and to understand the undoubtedly complex personality of the defendant".
The suspect was released under judicial supervision including in particular a ban on practicing and an obligation of care.
