Six burglars were tried on Monday in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).

They appeared for having committed a series of burglaries in Allier and Puy-de-Dôme, last April, reports La Montagne.

More or less active in these thefts, they all received prison sentences.

Three defendants, responsible respectively for 17, 12 and 7 burglaries, were sentenced to three years in prison.

Two of their accomplices were sentenced to two years in prison and the last to eight months.

Prohibition of the territory

During their trips, they stole jewelry to resell on flea markets.

After several weeks of investigation and surveillance, the gendarmes arrested the thieves on May 11.

They were then remanded in custody.

The six men, one Italian and five Serbs, belong to the Traveler community.

In addition to prison sentences, they are prohibited from returning to live in France.
