A man suspected of stabbing was arrested in Paris on Monday, reports

He was wanted after seriously injuring a fellow cleaner in the Primark store in Serris (Seine-et-Marne), Tuesday, June 7.

Although identified by the police, the suspect could not be quickly located, having no known address.

He was finally arrested by police officers from the Chessy agglomeration police station in a Paris hotel, where he was staying.

Aged 48, the man is unknown to justice.

Arrested for attempted murder

The 40-year-old was taken into custody for attempted murder.

Investigators will try to understand the reasons for his action.

For his part, the victim, injured by several blows received in the abdomen, was operated on.
