• In Nice, LR will be present in the second round in two of the three constituencies that cover the city.

Already well shaken by the resignations of some of its executives, parties to join the presidential majority, the historic bastion of the Riviera Les Républicains will come out of the legislative elections a little more weakened.

It's a certainty.

On the evening of the first round, the party has already lost at least the 6th constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes, where the outgoing deputy Laurence Trastour-Isnard was eliminated, beaten by the candidates RN and Horizons (Together).

In Nice, LR will be present in the second round in two of the three constituencies that cover the city.

Eric Ciotti and Christelle D'Intorni will be opposed to candidates from the presidential majority, present in the three territories.

And in the third constituency, where LR only comes fourth, it is the representative of Nupes who managed to qualify.

A unique fact in the whole department.

A Ciotti-Monetti duel in the first constituency

Right in the center of Nice, Eric Ciotti was perhaps expecting to get a slightly more comfortable lead.

The outgoing deputy LR still won this first round with nearly 31.7% of the vote (35% in 2017) ahead of Graig Monetti, the candidate supported by Christian Estrosi and the presidential majority (25.92%).

In a very short speech, the ex-candidate for the LR presidential nomination called for "mobilization to make Nice win".

His opponent, deputy mayor of Nice, said: "enough with the campaigns on fear, hatred and division".

The surprise Nupes against Pradal in the third

North of Nice and in the municipalities of La Trinité, Saint-André-de-la-Roche and Falicon, which form the third district of the Alpes-Maritimes, Philippe Pradal comes first.

The deputy mayor of Nice, who had been preferred to outgoing LREM deputy Cédric Roussel to wear the colors of the presidential majority, totaled 26.04% of the vote.

He placed himself ahead of the Nupes candidate, Enzo Giusti, the only left-wing coalition candidate to qualify for the second round in the department with 21.95%.

The LR candidate dubbed by Eric Ciotti, Laurent Castillo, only comes fourth (12.81%), beaten by Benoît Kandel (RN, 17.17%) and just ahead of Philippe Vardon (Reconquest!, 10.86%).

The latter had qualified for the second round in 2017, against the outgoing LREM.

Tense duel in sight in the fifth between Brenier and D'Intorni

Their campaign, already very tough for the first round, should be even more tense this week.

Christelle d'Intorni, the LR protege of Eric Ciotti, who has mainly benefited from the votes of the middle and high countries, follows the outgoing deputy Marine Brenier, passed from LR to the colors of the presidential majority, closely.

The first obtains less than 22.48% of the votes, behind the second, very close to Christian Estrosi, at more than 26.14%.
