Today, Katrin Wissing, who was previously a municipal politician in Åre, participated in a press conference where her party colleagues in the home county presented their election manifestos.

The Green Party in Jämtland Härjedalen has never had a parliamentary seat.

Ahead of this election, Katrin Wissing tops the county's list.

In order for a party to have a seat in the Riksdag, at least four percent of the votes are required.

Opinion figures for the party are not gracious, a voter survey yesterday showed 2.9 percent.

But Katrin Wissing is hopeful and convinced that "it will go the way".

- If we only look at Norrland, it is a very positive trend, she says.

- Previously it was 1.2 percent here and now it has increased to 3.8.

But she also notes that it is tough to be an environmentalist in the countryside.
