China Overseas Chinese Network, June 13. According to the news of the Spanish version of the "Europe Times" WeChat public account "Xi Wen", recently, the Spanish Minister of the Interior Fernando Grande Marlaska (Fernando Grande Marlaska) announced that he was 16 years old. Spanish citizens who pass the driver's license test can hold the newly introduced B1 driver's license and can drive an electric car with a maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour and a maximum weight of 400 kilograms.

According to the Spanish National Statistics Institute, the establishment of the B1 driver's license will enable more than one million new drivers to drive on the road.

This reform of traffic regulations aims to gradually rationalize the provision of electric transport, making it safer and less polluting for minors to use than light motorcycles, and to help meet Europe's emission reduction targets.

Grande Marasca said that similar driver's licenses have been used in countries such as France and have achieved good results, which greatly facilitates the movement of young people in rural areas, where public transport is obviously not comparable to urban areas. The conditions in the region are the same.

The B1 licence was also released as part of the Road Safety Strategy 2030, which aims to reduce the number of road accidents (1755 fatalities and 8613 serious injuries) in 2019 by 50%.

Previously, the legal age to obtain a driver's license in Spain was 18, and it was possible to drive a car weighing up to 3,500 kilograms at a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

And for minors over the age of 15, there are other categories of licenses, such as the AM license, which only allow four-wheeled vehicles to be driven at speeds of up to 45 km/h.
