Pujerra The Sierra Bermeja fire already affects 2,150 hectares
Malaga They investigate if there is a connection between the two fires in Sierra Bermeja
Forest firefighters have managed to
perimeter 80% of the Pujerra fire
which, although there is no longer an active flame or smoke, is stabilized but not controlled.
The objective of those who continue to work to put out the fire that broke out last week in the area of
La Resinera
in the vicinity of
Sierra Bermeja
and that has claimed more than
3,500 hectares,
is to consider it completely controlled.
During the day of this Monday,
120 troops
have continued with the tasks of extinguishing the fire from the ground, for which they have had the help of seven fire engines and six aerial means.
It should be noted, as explained by the
Infoca,
that work has been done "more intensively in the eastern zone" since, in the opinion of the experts, it is "the one with the most power".
As for the three firefighters injured last week in this incident, the most serious -the one who had
burns on 25% of the body-
has already been discharged and is recovering at home, they have confirmed from Infoca.
The second of the injured also with burns, although more minor, is at home;
while the one who got smoke poisoning
has already returned to work.
