• Interview Marta Calvo's mother, before the trial of her alleged murderer: "I want her to never see sunlight again, just as my daughter will never see it"

130 years or permanent prison reviewable for the murder of three women, the attempted murder of another eight, eleven crimes of sexual abuse and one against public health.

Starting today, nine members of a popular jury will determine the guilt of

Jorge Ignacio Palma

in the murder of

Marta Calvo,

Arliene Ramos

and

Lady Marcela Vargas

and the attempt of seven others.

In all the cases he acted in a similar way: arranging sexual dates with them in which, against his will, using a "deceitful relationship", he introduced highly pure cocaine stones into her vagina.

It caused the death of three of them, the rest managed to get out alive with consequences.

In the case of Marta Calvo, not only was she her alleged murderer, but she has wanted to reveal nothing about the whereabouts of the young woman's body.

He first confessed to having dismembered her after meeting her at Manuel de Ella's house (Valencia) in November 2019 but, due to the lack of evidence, he has remained silent.

The trial has started with the selection of the nine members of the jury among the 26 members chosen by lottery to listen to more than 100 testimonies during the month that the oral hearing of a case is expected to last, which, in reality, are eleven micro-trials, one for each victim of the defendant.

All the survivors will testify, six of them represented by criminal

Juan Carlos Navarro

, and they will recount how they arranged their meetings with Jorge Ignacio and how they noticed that he introduced the drug into their genitals despite their resistance and charged with consequences that required medical attention such as tachycardia, dizziness or loss of consciousness.

"They are nervous," acknowledged his lawyer, who accuses Jorge Ignacio of two murders, six attempted murders, sexual abuse and crimes against public health.

"We are facing a feminizida," he specified.

Against all he used the same 'modus operandi'.

He left

Arliene Ramos

to die in April 2019. When she intoxicated her with high-purity cocaine, she began to convulse and he left the place without helping her.

Her companions called the SAMU and the young woman, after nine days in a coma, died.

Cocaine with a purity of 81.67% was found in the room where they met, as well as in a glass of wine and in the girl's blood.

Two months later, in June, the same thing happened with

Lady Marcela

.

In her case, the coca stones that she inserted into her vagina were 90.31% pure.

According to the account collected in her instruction, she "began to convulse, then covering the defendant's mouth so that he would not scream, until death due to cardiorespiratory failure."

He then left the house where she had met.

In the autopsy, cocaine was detected in the blood of 9.31 ml and another narcotic substance.

At dawn on November 7, 2019, his date was

Marta Calvo

.

Her condition was to maintain relations with cocaine consumption, a 'white party', and for this they went to her rented house in Manuel, a small town in the interior of Valencia.

"With violence or intimidation" he overcame Marta's resistance, "thus violating her sexual freedom", and supplied her with cocaine "in extreme quantity and purity, which could cause a serious or fatal effect".

According to Jorge Ignacio's account before the Civil Guard, three surrendered her, dismembered her and disposed of her body, "which has not yet been located despite the efforts and exhaustive search, without Jorge Ignacio having provided the location."

MARISOL BURÓN, SPOKESPERSON FOR THE VICTIMS

Marta Calvo's mother,

Marisol Burón

, wanted to establish herself as the voice of the victims upon her arrival at the City of Justice.

With her voice broken by her emotion and containing her tears, she assured that she only asks that "justice be done".

"I have endured two and a half years and I am going to endure until the end. I ask my daughter for a lot of strength and she is giving it to me to be in court every day and be the voice of all of them," she assured.

Marta Calvo's mother asked the jury for understanding: "I hope you put yourself in my shoes as a mother who has taken my daughter from me very unfairly."

Despite the fact that Jorge Ignacio has refused in two and a half years to reveal where the body is, Marisol Burón maintains the hope that "it can collapse when he testifies or when his mother testifies."

"You can't live like that," she said.

Marta's mother assured that she is not afraid of the accused, nor "anger, nor disgust, nothing. I only remember my daughter. He is indifferent to me," she said, and is fully focused on getting the Penal Code modified to toughen the penalties for concealment of a corpse.

"I am convinced that this law is going to go ahead, it is my purpose and I am going to fight so that my daughter is the last, because parents cannot live with this sorrow and without being able to give ourselves a rest in peace. That is why I am fighting and I have more than enough strength to push this law forward and I'm going to get it," he assured.

For its part, Jorge Ignacio's defense denies that, as the accusations affirm, he meets the profile of a serial killer with the same conduct and the same profile of victims.

In fact, his lawyer asks for her acquittal because she did not force any woman to maintain relations nor did she intend to kill them.

Her story is that everything was consensual, the use of cocaine was agreed and, therefore, the poisoning of the victims was an accident.

In the case of Marta Calvo, she maintains her version of the dismemberment.
