Beninese Head of State Patrice Talon received in audience Monday evening June 13 his former ally and opponent Boni Yayi.
This is the second time he received his predecessor in 8 months.

The Beninese president has also announced that he will quickly formalize a framework for exchanges and contacts between former heads of state and the current president.
Before Boni Yayi,
Patrice Talon
received former President Soglo and the former Presidents of the Assembly a few days ago.
The meeting on Monday took place one-on-one and without witnesses,
as in September 2021

It took place in a courtroom on the third floor of the Marina Palace and lasted approximately an hour and a quarter.
At the end, both men spoke to the public service media.

I met President Soglo a few days ago, we had the same exchanges in a very friendly, very fraternal atmosphere.
We discussed the cost of living, social cohesion, insecurity, political peace and all that entails

".
Patrice Talon spoke about political peace, Boni Yayi spoke about issues relating to the consolidation of peace… Calls for a thaw continue.
There is indeed on the table the request of the opposition to release
the opponents Reckiath Madougou
and Joël Aivo, as well as to promote the return of the exiles.
