It was at Storseleby northwest of Vilhelmina that Magnus Eriksson saw three bear cubs at the edge of the ditch.
Before he could pick up the camera, the kids were up in the trees, watching him.
- I cranked down the window to get a little better picture and then they climbed further up, so I drove the car a little so as not to scare them.
I wondered where my mother was and cranked up the window again and then I see that she shows up just behind the car, says Magnus Eriksson.
- I was actually surprised because the kids did not look so disturbed and the mother just lurched into the woods and waited for the kids to climb down from the trees, he says.
Not the first bear meeting
For Eriksson, it was not the first time he met a bear.
Last fall, he saw a bear running across the exact same road.
- It is an area where you quite often get to see bears.
That time it was a lone bear that came running from the forest and across the road.
It probably chased something because it did not have time to see me until it was up on the road, says Magnus Eriksson.
