In the 1st district of Strasbourg, with 35.8% of the votes obtained against 29.5% for the candidate of the presidential majority Alain Fontanel, the Nupes embodies locally "a real wave which is reflected everywhere in France" welcomed its candidate Sandra Regol.

A runaway tempered then on the set of France 3 by Alain Fontanel recalling "that there is victory only in the second round".

Because if there is one constituency that was under close scrutiny in the Bas-Rhin for this first round of the 2022 legislative elections, it is the 1st, that of Strasbourg center, with to sum up a duel between the candidate of Together Alain Fontanel, and the national n°2 of Europe Ecologie Les Verts (EELV), Sandra Regol.

Program against program

Alain Fontanel, already beaten by environmentalists in the last municipal elections when he was the first outgoing deputy, started from afar for this first round of legislative elections in a constituency which is not one of the most favorable to the presidential majority.

Recall that Jean-Luc Mélenchon came out on top in the first round of the presidential election with 36.84%, or more than 15 points difference with LaRem.

Suffice to say, the candidate representing Nupes, Sandra Regol, was playing at home.

On the set of France 3, Alain Fontanel underlined "a halving of the gap" which separated the presidential majority from France Insoumise during the last elections in this constituency, before reproaching "the parachuting" of Sandra Regol.

Which replied that it was now a question of fighting “program against program”.
