On the afternoon of June 8, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected and investigated in Yibin City, Sichuan Province.

Yibin is known as "the first city on the Yangtze River".

Overlooking from a high altitude, the Minjiang River and the Jinsha River formally merge into the Changjiang River here, and flow eastward magnificently.

As an important landmark for the protection of the Yangtze River and the prevention and control of water pollution, Yibin started the Yangtze River ecological comprehensive management project in 2014 to carry out ecological restoration of the "three rivers and six banks". Yibin Yangtze River Park, close to the confluence of the three rivers, starts from Rongzhou Bridge in the west and ends at Daxikou in the east. It is part of the "green ribbon" on the mother river system of Yibin.

Yibin makes use of the original topography and landforms, according to the water levels in different periods, to form a unique landscape of Yibin Yangtze River Park with 4.2 kilometers of hydrophilic line, waterfront line, greenway line and five functional areas, which solves the water level difference between the dry season and the wet season of the Yangtze River. The problem of reaching more than 15 meters has achieved the purpose of clean and orderly in dry season and flood control in wet season.

It is about 20 kilometers downstream along the Yangtze River from the Hejiangmen Wharf at the Sanjiangkou, and the ancient town of Lizhuang stands on the riverbank.

In ancient times, it was a small fishing village by the riverside. In the Han Dynasty, a post station was set up here. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it became an important water transportation and trade center. Now Li Zhuang is bursting with new vitality.

In Nanxi District, Yibin, the Yangtze River turns 90 degrees and draws a magnificent arc. This is the first great turn of the Yangtze River after the confluence of the Minjiang and Jinsha Rivers in Yibin.

Nanxi District Wetland Park is an ecological leisure wetland project built along the coastline of the Yangtze River. It uses the Yangtze River system to combine with the construction requirements of the sponge city, and implements the construction of landscape, wetland and leisure space in the region.

Going to the outskirts of Yibin, Shunan Bamboo Sea is known as an emerald on the crown of "the first city on the Yangtze River".

More than 130,000 acres of bamboo forests are connected with mountains and slopes, and when you climb up to a distance, you can see thousands of acres of blue waves and green like the sea.

There are also various rare animals living in the forest, and the ecological environment is excellent.

This bamboo forest not only protects the clear waters and lush mountains and builds an ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, but also becomes a magic weapon for the people to get rich.

The ecology is changing, and the river is clearer.

Yibin painted the unique and charming picture of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, playing the "ecological movement" of environmental restoration and protection of the Yangtze River.
