Paul Molac is on track for a third term in the National Assembly.

Outgoing deputy of the 4th constituency of Morbihan (Ploërmel), the candidate without label arrived this Sunday largely in the lead in the first round of the legislative elections by obtaining 37.65% of the votes.

He is nearly 20 points ahead of presidential majority candidate Rozenn Guégan (18.26% of the vote) who narrowly qualifies for the second round, beating Nupes representative Lhéa Le Flecher (18.20% ).

Florent de Kersauzon, brother of Olivier, finally arrives in 4th position for the National Rally with 16.12% of the vote.

In 2017, Paul Molac was re-elected in the first round under the label of the presidential majority by collecting 54% of the votes.

A year later, he left the LREM group in the National Assembly to create, with other deputies, the Freedoms and Territories group.

Fervent defender of the Breton language, the regionalist deputy had made people talk about him last year by giving his name to a law in favor of regional languages.

Elsewhere in Morbihan, it is the candidate Ensemble Anne Le Hénanff who is in a favorable ballot in the first constituency (Vannes) with 34.05% of the vote.

She will be opposed in the second round to the representative of Nupes Luc Foucault who collected 25.01% of the vote.

In the 5th constituency, that of Lorient, there will also be a second round next Sunday between Nupes and the presidential majority.

It was the left-wing candidate Damien Girard who came out on top (31.47%), fairly well ahead of the candidate together Lysiane Métayer (22.96%).
