Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers are losing their lives every day in the Donbas region of Ukraine.

Ukrainian soldiers with coffins come in with mournful expressions to the sound of a military band playing.



Ihor, who was killed in Luhansk in a desperate battle with Russian forces, has also returned to his hometown to be buried.



He began his military service in 2015, the year after the pro-Russian separatists established an autonomous republic in the eastern Donbas region, and has been at the forefront ever since.



However, it was eventually killed by the Russian army's general offensive in Donbass, which continued for two months.

Meanwhile, in the southern cities of Kherson and Melitopol, which were occupied by Russian forces at the beginning of the invasion, pro-Russian local governments began issuing Russian passports to local residents.
