The EC intends to soon decide on a position on whether Ukraine should be a candidate for the EU

“As you know, the commission is currently preparing recommendations for the so-called expert opinion for the EU member states.

We've been working on this assessment day and night, and I promised you... that we'd work tirelessly on it.

So, today's discussions will allow us to complete our assessment by the end of next week, ”RIA Novosti quotes her.

Earlier, the media reported that the Netherlands and Denmark do not support granting Ukraine the status of an EU candidate.

On May 31, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said that most countries are against granting Ukraine the status of an EU candidate.
