The Crown Prince of Denmark joins amateur cyclists in the Tour de France

Prince Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, joined nearly 1,600 amateur cyclists in an attempt to reach the end of the second stage of the Tour de France, or parts of it, in Denmark.

The riders could choose between racing the full 216 km from Roskilde, the 100 km from Kalundborg, which Friedrich raced, or the 21 km from Corsor to finish the race in Nyborg.

The highlight of them all was the crossing of the Storbelt bridge shortly before the end at Nyborg on the Isle of Fen.

The Tour de France begins on July 1 in Copenhagen, with the first three stages taking place in Denmark.

The track between Roskilde-Lyenburg is the second stage of the race.
