Investigative Committee of Russia: more than 2 thousand people were recognized as victims in the case of the shelling of Mariupol

“Ukrainian servicemen and Azov nationalists, who positioned themselves as the defenders of Mariupol, covered themselves with civilians, used it as a human shield,” TASS quotes the words of the investigator of the Russian Investigative Committee.

He added that more than 2 thousand residents of the city were interviewed, they were recognized as victims in the case of the use of prohibited methods of warfare.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia, together with the FSB and the Federal Penitentiary Service, identified new defendants in the case of the execution of civilians in Mariupol.
