It was in November 2021 that the man was out hunting with his dog when the dog got a skull on the neighbor's hunting ground.

The man has told that he came to the dog and that there was a moose on the spot which he then shot.

He then called the landowner and sent a map of the place where the moose had been shot.

No traces found

According to the landowner, the man had said that the moose had "fallen in" a few meters above the land boundary, something the man does not remember saying.

The landowner then went to the site but found no traces in the snow.

However, there were traces of a quad bike on a turning plane that led to a slaughterhouse.

According to the landowner's information, the moose was shot about 200 meters into the hunting area and 400 meters from the place that the man pointed out on the map.

Provided incorrect information

According to the district court, the man is an experienced hunter and knows the area.

There has been a mast at a height as a landmark and the district court believes that the man has given incorrect information to hide that he was hunting in the wrong hunting area.

He is now sentenced for hunting offenses and daily fines totaling SEK 36,800.

He must also pay SEK 5,500 in damages to the brand owner.

The man has denied the crime and denied paying damages.
