As monkeypox spreads worldwide, the first case of infection by a U.S. soldier has emerged.

"We confirm the fact that a US soldier stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, has recently tested positive for monkeypox," said William Spikes, a spokesman for the US Army European Command.

Although the number of cases of monkeypox infection in the United States is gradually increasing, it is the first time that a case of infection in the US military has been made public.

Spokesperson Spikes said: "The infected person is being observed and treated at the Stuttgart Army Clinic, and is currently recovering in isolation in a barracks on the base."

The monkeypox infection is of a West African descent, which is generally mild and has limited human-to-human transmission.

Monkey smallpox is a disease that is endemic in Central and West Africa.

Starting with the UK on the 7th of last month, it has spread to Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Australia, and it seems to be spreading little by little in non-endemic areas.

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that, as of the 8th, more than 1,000 cases of monkey pox have been reported in 29 countries in non-endemic regions, and that the disease can be established even in non-endemic regions. I warned you that there is a danger.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are currently fewer than 50 confirmed cases in 15 states and Washington, DC in the United States.
