The Syrian News Agency (SANA) said that a civilian was wounded in an Israeli air attack with missiles from the side of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points south of the capital, Damascus.

The agency added that the attack, which occurred at dawn on Friday, also resulted in material losses, and that the Syrian air defenses downed most of the missiles.

And last Tuesday, the Syrian regime's media said that the air defenses responded to an "Israeli aggression" on the capital, Damascus, and no casualties were reported.

Since the past years, Israel has launched hundreds of air strikes in Syria, which have targeted Syrian regime army sites, Iranian targets, and Lebanese Hezbollah targets.

Israel rarely confirms carrying out strikes in Syria, but it reiterates that it will continue to confront what it describes as Tehran's attempts to entrench its military presence in Syria.
