Recently, under the sunlight, the water of the Nujiang River is green and clear. A team dressed in "Navy Blue" shouted loud slogans and walked from a distance in neat steps.

The police dog "Yun Da" followed the trainer Wang Xinyu and walked in front of the team.

As a security patrol dog, June 9 is the day when "Yunda" came to the Dongfengqiao Border Checkpoint of the Border Management Detachment in Baoshan, Yunnan for half a year.

After walking the 10-kilometer patrol road that day, the mileage of "Yunda" in the past six months has just reached 1,000 kilometers.

"Every time I mention it, people always ask me why it's called 'Yunda'." When talking about the origin of the police dog's name, trainer Wang Xinyu opened the conversation.

"Yunda", who is one and a half years old this year, is a Malinois dog. In October 2021, Wang Xinyu forged an indissoluble bond with "Yunda" when he participated in training at the search and rescue dog base in Anning City, Yunnan Province.

In that competition, Wang Xinyu and "Yun Da" cooperated tacitly and won the championship.

After winning the championship, Wang Xinyu learned that "Yunda" was named because the same batch of police dogs were all born in Yunnan, and he was the eldest among these police dogs, so he named it "Yunda".

After getting acquainted at the Anning Search and Rescue Dog Base, "Yunda" became Wang Xinyu's close comrade-in-arms. After the training, he followed Wang Xinyu back to the Dongfengqiao border checkpoint of the Baoshan Border Management Detachment and became a border guard dog.

In normal work, the main task of "Yunda" is to follow the immigration police to check passing vehicles and personnel, carry out border patrols, and assist the immigration police in search and rescue operations in a timely manner in case of emergencies.

In January this year, when he first arrived at the Dongfengqiao border checkpoint, "Yun Da", who was curious about everything around him, was very lively.

Wanting to cultivate it into an excellent security patrol dog, this really made Wang Xinyu's brain hurt for a while.

The whole process of training was repeated and took a long time. Wang Xinyu said with deep feeling, "Although I have trained before, but when I arrived in the new environment, I still need to bring it to re-familiar and re-running. In this process, we paid a lot of money. A lot of hard work and a lot of laughter.”

The Dongfengqiao Border Checkpoint, located in the southwest of Baoshan City, is mainly tasked with combating illegal activities, drugs, smuggling and other cross-border crimes.

Before the outbreak of the epidemic, vehicles passing through the Dongfengqiao border checkpoint would sometimes line up for more than ten kilometers.

There is no natural barrier here. The Dongfengqiao border checkpoint stationed at the first-line throat of the China-Myanmar border once became one of the units with the most arduous border control tasks and the most heavy epidemic prevention work of the Baoshan Border Management Detachment.

"During the epidemic, the traffic flow was much lower than before, but even so, Yunda, who came to the Dongfengqiao border checkpoint for half a year, has cooperated with us to carry out nearly a thousand border inspections." Wang Xinyu introduced that the Dongfengqiao border checkpoint There are three police dogs, which respectively undertake the main responsibilities of "patrol, drug search, and arrest". "Yunda" is the youngest among the three police dogs, and the only one.

After becoming an immigration police officer in 2019, Wang Xinyu, who has a soft spot for police dogs, became a trainer in the police camp.

"Every police dog at the checkpoint is like my child, and it is my happiest time to be with them." Wang Xinyu has always regarded police dog training as his lifelong pursuit. Passionate interpretation of the character of an immigration police officer's infinite love for his career.

At the front-line duty card point on the China-Myanmar border, Wang Xinyu started another day of duty with the police dog "Yun Da". In the far southwest of the motherland, they expressed their deepest love to the motherland by sticking together together.
