“Starting from March 2, 2022, the Russian Federation has already delivered 28,961.7 tons of essentials, food, medicines and medical supplies to Ukraine, and carried out 1,142 humanitarian actions,” the statement says.

He clarified that over the past day, four such actions were held in the DPR, as well as Zaporozhye and Kharkiv regions.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Vershinin, at a meeting with the ambassadors of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics Olga Makeyeva and Rodion Miroshnik, discussed the provision of humanitarian assistance through international organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

At the end of May, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on the delivery of more than 1.3 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to the Donbass and Ukraine in five days.
