Monkeypox spread rapidly in non-endemic areas such as Europe and the Americas, and the number of confirmed cases exceeded 1,000 within a month.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1,000 cases of monkey pox have been reported in 29 countries in non-endemic regions.

In addition, some countries have recommended self-quarantine for infected people, saying there are signs that local transmission is in progress.

The WHO said that it has not yet been confirmed whether monkeypox spreads through the air like COVID-19.
