The driver of the vehicle suspected of refusing to comply during a check on Saturday in Paris during which the police fired, killing one of his passengers, was indicted on Thursday in particular for "attempted voluntary homicide" and remanded in custody, according to a judicial source.

The man, injured by a police shot in the chest, is indicted for "attempted intentional homicide of a person holding public authority, repeated aggravated refusal to comply, repeated driving of a vehicle despite an injunction to return his driving license and repeated offense of driving under the influence of an alcoholic state”.

He was "placed in pre-trial detention at the place of his hospitalization", according to the same source.
