The law has been tested in riot contexts before.

Among other places in Gothenburg after the riots in connection with the Black Lives Matter demonstration in June 2020. Nearly 30 people were charged with sabotage against blue light operations.

All were acquitted on that charge, but the vast majority were convicted instead of other crimes, including violent rioting and violence against an official.

The prosecutor believes in a conviction

But after the riots in Örebro in connection with Rasmus Paludan's planned burning of the Koran, Per-Erik Rinsell, head of the chamber at the district court in Borås, believes in a conviction for gross sabotage against blue light activities.

At least 11 people have been arrested on suspicion of the criminal classification after the riot in Sveaparken where Caroline and her colleagues were attacked.

Per-Erik Rinsell is the prosecutor in a case where four people are suspected of having thrown large stones at the police.

He believes in a conviction.

How does the situation in Örebro differ from the demonstrations in Gothenburg where many were released?

- I claim that it was a much more obvious attack on the police operations in Örebro.

It was serious in Gothenburg, but the Örebro incident is much more serious, says Per-Erik Rinsell and believes that the evidence is very good.

Police Caroline was hit by rocks

Caroline, who was hit by several stones, thinks it is important that the culprits are convicted.

- What else do we get for society if you can do this to those who uphold the law?

In the clip, we meet Caroline in Sveaparken in Örebro when she returns for the first time since the riots.
