Iran is all or nothing.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned on Thursday that there are only three to four weeks left before the nuclear deal fails completely.

Because in the past few weeks, Iran has dismantled the surveillance cameras and measuring devices installed by the IAEA in the nuclear facilities, as reported directly by the state media.

The leadership in Tehran wants to build up even more pressure so that the Revolutionary Guards, who control more than half of the economy, are removed from the sanctions list if a nuclear deal is revived.

That was one of the last outstanding issues when negotiations stalled.

Another calculation is to distract from the deteriorating economic situation by the day.

Protests are currently taking place in almost all major cities.

Russia also plays a destructive role.

Moscow has an interest in maintaining the current state of limbo of the agreement.

If reinstated, Iran could sell large quantities of oil at the expense of Russia.

But if the agreement were to fail completely, Iran would become a new nuclear power, which Russia does not want.

It was striking how the Iranian leadership has been courting the Russian ambassador in Tehran in recent days.

Apparently, the removal of the surveillance cameras did not happen without the knowledge of Russia.
