"I was asked the question during this campaign: so you are with Mélenchon, are you married to?", Launched the candidate invested by New People's Ecological and Social Union in the 20th district of the North, during a public meeting. in his stronghold of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux.

"The choice we have made is to elect the most left-wing deputies, but tomorrow we will each have our group in the Assembly, our independence, our autonomy", "we will not have a single party", he developed in front of an audience of a hundred people.

Disagreements over the font

“I will never mix things up by saying that the police kill,” he stressed in particular, in reference to the controversial remarks of Jean-Luc Mélenchon after the shooting death of a young passenger under police fire in Paris. .

"We need better trained police and gendarmes, in sufficient numbers, to guarantee our peace", he insisted, "under no circumstances will I speak like that, ever".

“Nothing is over”

He had previously sounded the "mobilization of the working classes" and "youth" for a left-wing parliamentary majority for the "first time in 25 years".
